For road arrivals, its location outside the main reserve offers an opportunity to save on first-day park fees. Instead of entering the reserve that afternoon, settle into camp and consider a guided walk in a permitted area, a cultural visit or a sundowner, subject to availability and additional charges. Begin your reserve game drives on day two. We can quote this arrangement separately, with fees adjusted to the entry schedule.
Your tent category also matters. If an open savannah view is important, ask us to confirm a Savannah-facing tent rather than booking a general room description.

Getting to Zebra Plains Mara Camp from Nairobi
By Road
Allow approximately five to six hours or longer, depending on your Nairobi departure point, traffic, stops and road conditions.

By Air
Scheduled safari flights depart from Wilson Airport. Ol Kiombo is an airstrip used to access Zebra Plains Mara Camp.
The camp’s brochure indicates approximately a 20-minute transfer, although the journey can take longer if wildlife viewing is included en route.
We confirm your flight, airstrip, transfers and baggage allowance before booking. Wilson Airport is separate from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, so international connections need additional planning.
