Our Assessment of Mara Ngenche Safari Camp
The location and the space are the main reasons we would recommend Mara Ngenche.
It suits travellers who want their accommodation to be part of the safari experience. After a game drive, you can return to a comfortable tent, enjoy the river setting and take a refreshing dip in your plunge pool.
For couples, the smaller camp atmosphere is worth comparing with the facilities and busier communal spaces of a larger lodge. For wildlife enthusiasts, we plan your outings around the areas you want to explore rather than assuming every part of the reserve is equally close.
A riverside stay also benefits from time at camp. We would avoid filling every available hour with activities if enjoying the accommodation is an important part of your holiday.
Best For
- Couples wanting spacious tented accommodation.
- Honeymooners seeking a smaller camp.
- Guests who value a private plunge pool.
- Travellers interested in the Mara’s river habitats.
- A private safari combining wildlife viewing with time to relax.
Consider Another Property If…
- You prefer permanent lodge rooms.
- You want extensive resort-style facilities.
- Walking safaris or night drives are a priority.
- You want a holiday based entirely in the Mara Triangle.
- Your main requirement is the lowest possible package price.
Mara Ngenche Safari Camp Prices
Your complete safari price depends on travel dates, number of nights, room occupancy, party size, transport and reserve admission.
We compare the accommodation rate with the guiding arrangement before preparing your quotation. A camp package that already includes game drives should be assessed separately from accommodation combined with our private vehicle and guide.
| Price element | What we specify |
|---|---|
| Accommodation | Tent category, bed arrangement, occupancy and nights |
| Meals | Included meal plan |
| Drinks | Included beverages and separately charged drinks |
| Transport | Private road travel or return domestic flights |
| Guiding | Who handles your safari and whether the vehicle is private |
| Transfers | Nairobi and Mara airstrip arrangements |
| Reserve fees | Visitor category and admission coverage |
| Extras | Activities, upgrades and other additional charges |
| Booking conditions | Availability, deposit, balance and cancellation terms |
We provide a total party price alongside the per-person rate, so you can compare the complete holiday.

Mara Ngenche Private Road Safari
Four Days / Three Nights from Nairobi
Travel from Nairobi with your own 4×4 safari Land Cruiser and driver-guide. The vehicle remains reserved for your party during the journey and agreed game drives.
This arrangement works well for couples, families and friends who want private transport. It can also form part of a longer Kenya itinerary.
Mara Ngenche Flying Safari
Four Days / Three Nights with Private Local Guiding
Fly from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport to the appropriate Mara airstrip. We coordinate your arrival with transfers, accommodation and safari arrangements.
Our private flying proposal includes a dedicated local Maasai guide and private Land Cruiser, subject to the arrangements confirmed with the camp.
Where you prefer the camp’s own safari programme, we can compare that option and explain how its vehicle allocation and inclusions differ.
Luxury Tents and Private Plunge Pools
Mara Ngenche’s accommodation combines the tented safari atmosphere with substantial private space.
The tent design includes river views and private outdoor facilities, making the accommodation a meaningful part of the stay rather than simply somewhere to sleep.
Our Advice on Choosing Your Tent
Tell us whether you need a double or twin arrangement and whether location within the camp matters to you.
We request suitable accommodation and confirm the available category. Particular tents and views remain subject to allocation.
For mobility requirements, share what would make your stay comfortable so we can check paths, steps and room access before booking.
Meals, Drinks and Special Dining
Our full-board proposals include breakfast, lunch and dinner.
For longer outings, we coordinate packed meals with the camp. This allows the safari programme to follow a practical route without requiring a return for every lunch.
Check drinks separately: full board does not automatically mean all beverages are included.
Private meals and celebration arrangements can be considered subject to availability. Tell us about your occasion, dietary preferences and allergies when enquiring.
Children and Family Arrangements
Before recommending Mara Ngenche for a family, we check the current child policy and available tent arrangements.
Send us:
- Each child’s age at the time of travel.
- Your preferred sleeping arrangements.
- Whether you need separate tents.
- Any meal or practical requirements.
Children’s accommodation charges and reserve admission are assessed separately. Private plunge pools also need to be considered when deciding whether the property suits your family.
Location and Safari Access
Mara Ngenche’s in-reserve location is an important distinction when comparing it with camps outside the gates or in neighbouring conservancies.
The reserve setting and river confluence are supported by the camp operator’s description and the tourism industry’s property information.
For planning purposes, we consider three separate things:
- Where your accommodation stands.
- Which wildlife areas your itinerary will visit.
- Which admission and transfer arrangements the package covers.
Getting There by Road
We plan the route from your Nairobi pickup point to the camp, allowing for traffic, stops and road conditions.
An early departure is generally more practical. If you arrive in Nairobi late, an overnight stay before starting the safari may suit your itinerary.
Flying from Wilson Airport
The selected service must use an airstrip suitable for the camp.
We confirm the airstrip, flight schedule, baggage allowance and transfer time before booking. Share international flight details so we can assess your Nairobi connection.
Wildlife and Migration Safaris
A Mara Ngenche stay can be planned around resident wildlife, river habitats and seasonal migration interests.
For migration travel, we consider your dates and allow enough time to explore. Herd movements influence where your guide takes you, and a camp’s river setting does not guarantee a crossing during your stay.
No wildlife sighting or river crossing can be guaranteed.
For most first visits, start with three nights. Four or five nights offer more flexibility for photography, longer outings and time at camp.
Compare Other Camps and Lodges
| Property | Why compare it with Mara Ngenche? |
|---|---|
| Entim Mara Camp | Another reserve-based river setting |
| Zebra Plains Mara Camp | A different tented stay and package-price comparison |
| Mara Serena Safari Lodge | Permanent lodge accommodation in the Mara Triangle |
| Sarova Mara Game Camp | A larger camp with more communal facilities |
Compare complete packages using the same dates, party size and duration.
Plan Your Mara Ngenche Safari
Tell us your dates, guest numbers, room preferences and whether you would like to travel by road or air.
Our Nairobi reservations team and local Maasai guides will coordinate the details and provide a quotation showing accommodation, meals, transport, transfers, guiding, fees and exclusions.

We had the best experience. Everything was really great. We booked a tour from Nairobi to lake Nakuru and then to Masaai Mara and back to Nairobi. Our guide and driver Brian was very well educated and told us a lot about the animals and plants we were able to spot. He was also a very experienced driver. In the Mara we saw a lot of cars got stuck in the mudd because of the rain the day before. The camps the holiday dealers recommended us were great. The food was very delicious, the staff was very polite and the rooms were nice. We spotted a lot of different animals and of course the big five. Thanks to the Team of The holiday dealers - the whole trip was a unforgettable journey for our whole family.Posted on Google![]()

It is now over a decade since i started using The Holiday Dealers to plan my tours and travels. Not a single day have they disaspointed me. They have remained consistent and professional in their service delivery. Over the years, they have personaized my trips, to suit my needs and expectations of a perfect vacation. They will take you from the bush to the beach without breaking a sweat. Last festive season, Holiday Dealers successfuly planned my trip to Nothern and Central parts of Kenya. We were assigned a highly qualified, professional and well informed tour guide and driver who gave us limitless guided game drives of the breathtaking landscapes of Samburu. In particular we visited the Buffalo Springs National Reserve and Shaba Game Reserve. While there watch out for the Duom palm, grevy’s Zebra and the Orynx. We wound up our trip at the luxurious Fairmont Mt. Kenya Safari club. In the morning, we would wake up to perfect views of amazing sunrise from the top of Mt. Kenya. The location of the club is just perfect. We were also lucky to see the endangered mountain bongo, some Llamas and other animals at the animal orphanage.
