Fairmont Mara Safari Club, Kenya — All-Inclusive Safari Packages

Fairmont Mara Safari Club is a luxury riverfront tented camp in Olchoro Oirowua Conservancy near Aitong, in Kenya’s wider Masai Mara region. Its private conservancy setting is important: most game drives during your stay take place there, rather than in the Main Masai Mara National Reserve.

We arrange four-day, three-night all-inclusive Fairmont Masai Mara packages from Nairobi, travelling by road or scheduled flight. Your Fairmont stay includes accommodation, all meals, drinks and shared game drives handled by the hotel.

If you want a more extensive exploration of the Masai Mara, we can add private Main Reserve game drives with our local Maasai guides. This gives your party its own vehicle and greater flexibility over the agreed safari programme.

Fairmont combines riverfront tents with a swimming pool, dining venues and space to relax between outings. We recommend it for travellers who want their accommodation and time in camp to be a substantial part of the holiday.

Fairmont’s accommodation, river setting and facilities make it a comfortable base for a safari holiday.

Our Assessment of Fairmont Mara Safari Club

We recommend Fairmont for travellers who want a comfortable, all-inclusive tented stay with hotel-led wildlife outings and time to enjoy the camp.

Its appeal is the balance between safari and relaxation. You can join the shared game drives, return for meals and spend part of the day enjoying your riverfront deck or the pool.

The main planning decision is how much wildlife exploration you want beyond the included programme.

For a relaxed three-night holiday, the hotel-led outings may suit your needs. If you are visiting the Mara for a more extensive safari, have particular wildlife interests or want longer days exploring, we recommend discussing a private Main Reserve excursion before booking.

This allows us to build the holiday around your expectations from the beginning.

Who We Recommend It For

  • Couples wanting a luxury tented stay with meals and drinks included.
  • Families who prefer a structured safari programme and time in camp.
  • First-time safari travellers comfortable joining shared outings.
  • Small groups combining hotel activities with a private excursion.
  • Safari and beach travellers planning a short Mara stay before the coast.

What to Consider

Fairmont is in a private conservancy, so staying here is a different choice from staying inside the Main Reserve.

If your priority is exploring the Main Reserve every day, we would compare Fairmont with camps located there. If you prefer Fairmont’s accommodation and facilities, we can retain the stay and add a separately quoted private safari.

Fairmont Mara Safari Club Location

Fairmont Mara Safari Club is near Aitong, in Olchoro Oirowua Conservancy on the northwestern side of the wider Masai Mara region.

Its tents overlook the Mara River, where hippos and crocodiles form part of the riverfront wildlife experience.

Why the Private Conservancy Setting Matters

Most of your included game drives take place in the conservancy. Your booking therefore needs to explain both where you stay and where you go on safari.

We distinguish between:

  • Fairmont’s shared conservancy game drives, included in your all-inclusive stay.
  • Our private Main Reserve excursions, booked separately with a local Maasai guide.

Conservancy charges and Main Reserve entry fees are also separate components. We explain the applicable fees in your quotation.

Fairmont Masai Mara All-Inclusive Package

Our Fairmont package includes accommodation, all meals, drinks and the shared hotel-led game-drive programme.

For a four-day, three-night holiday, we combine this stay with your chosen road or flying arrangements.

What the Fairmont Stay Includes

  • Three nights in the confirmed tent category.
  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • Drinks covered by the booked all-inclusive package.
  • Shared game drives operated by Fairmont.
  • Access to the camp’s general guest facilities.

Your quotation identifies the included drinks selection and game-drive programme so you know exactly what is covered.

What We Arrange Around Your Stay

We can include:

  • Return road transport from Nairobi.
  • Return scheduled flights from Wilson Airport.
  • Agreed airstrip transfers.
  • Applicable conservancy charges.
  • Additional Nairobi accommodation or airport transfers.
  • Optional private Main Reserve excursions.

Special activities, treatments and additional excursions are included only when stated in your proposal.

Fairmont Masai Mara Game Drives

The game drives included in your Fairmont stay are shared outings handled by the hotel, primarily within its conservancy.

You join other guests and follow the agreed hotel programme. This suits travellers who enjoy a sociable safari and a structured daily schedule.

Shared outings offer less individual control over departure times, time at sightings and the overall pace than a separately booked private vehicle.

When We Recommend a Private Local Guide

Consider our private Main Reserve option if:

  • You want a more extensive Masai Mara safari.
  • You prefer longer outings than the shared programme provides.
  • You want your own vehicle for your family or group.
  • You have particular wildlife or photography interests.
  • You want more flexibility over the agreed route and pace.

You can plan this before arrival rather than wait until your stay to decide whether the included outings match your expectations.

Private Main Reserve Safaris with Our Maasai Guides

We arrange private game drives in the Masai Mara National Reserve with our local Maasai guides.

Your Land Cruiser is reserved exclusively for your party during the booked excursion. We agree the pickup, duration, meal arrangements and return programme in advance.

A private excursion gives you more control over how you spend the day. Your guide can respond to your interests and wildlife sightings within the available time and reserve rules.

This is an additional experience, separately quoted from Fairmont’s all-inclusive stay. We specify the vehicle, guide, applicable Main Reserve fees and any other charges.

Riverfront Tents and Accommodation

Fairmont Mara Safari Club has 38 riverfront tents, with private decks, four-poster beds and en-suite bathrooms.

Tent categoryMain featuresWho we would consider it for
Riverfront Tent with Queen BedQueen bed and private river-view deckCouples and solo travellers
Riverfront Tent with Two Queen BedsTwo queen beds and river-view deckFamilies or guests wanting separate beds
Deluxe Riverfront Tent with Queen BedOutdoor shower and deck sunbedsCouples wanting an upgraded stay
Accessible Riverfront Tent with Two Single BedsTwin beds and accessible accommodation categoryGuests needing a suitability assessment

We name the selected category in your quotation and establish permitted occupancy before confirming. www.fairmont.com

Our Room Recommendation

For couples, we compare the Queen Riverfront Tent and Deluxe option for the same dates.

For families, we begin with the children’s ages and preferred sleeping arrangement. A two-queen-bed tent may be suitable, subject to the applicable occupancy rules.

For accessibility requirements, we check the tent, pathways and transport arrangements together.

Fairmont Mara Safari Club Photos

When choosing your room, compare photographs of the specific tent category, not only general camp images.

The key details to look at are:

  • Bed configuration and interior space.
  • Bathroom layout.
  • Private deck and seating.
  • Deluxe outdoor shower and sunbeds.
  • Pool and public areas.

We identify your booked category clearly so you can relate the photographs to the accommodation in your proposal.

Dining, Drinks and Facilities

Your all-inclusive stay covers meals and drinks under the booked package.

Dining venues include Kifaru Restaurant, the outdoor Boma and Kiboko Bar. The menus combine local and international dishes, with river-facing space adding to the setting.

Special bush dining or private celebration arrangements should be requested separately.

Tell us about allergies or dietary requirements when enquiring. We include essential requests in your reservation.

Swimming Pool and Spa

The pool gives you somewhere to relax between safari outings. Spa treatments can also be arranged at an additional cost, with advance booking recommended.

We suggest leaving some time in your itinerary to enjoy the camp rather than filling every available hour with activities.

Fairmont Mara Safari Club Prices

Fairmont Masai Mara prices depend on your dates, tent category, occupancy, transport and additional activities.

We provide a complete package quotation instead of an accommodation price that leaves the journey unexplained.

Price componentWhat we specify
All-inclusive stayTent category, nights, meals, drinks and shared game drives

Compare Fairmont with Other Masai Mara Camps

Our recommendations below focus on location and the type of stay you want. We compare actual quotations separately, since rates and game-drive arrangements vary by package.

The locations of Mara Intrepids, Ashnil Mara and Mara Ngenche support these distinctions.

Which Would We Recommend?

Choose Fairmont when the all-inclusive hotel programme and time enjoying camp suit your holiday.

If Main Reserve exploration is your central priority, we would compare Mara Intrepids, Ashnil Mara, Entim and Mara Ngenche before deciding.

You can also combine Fairmont with another camp. We recommend doing this when the second stay adds a useful change of location or experience.

Plan Your Fairmont Masai Mara Holiday

We will arrange your all-inclusive Fairmont stay, explain the shared conservancy game drives and organise your journey from Nairobi.

For a more extensive safari, we can add a private Main Reserve excursion with our local Maasai guides.

We had the best experience. Everything was really great. We booked a tour from Nairobi to lake Nakuru and then to Masaai Mara and back to Nairobi. Our guide and driver Brian was very well educated and told us a lot about the animals and plants we were able to spot. He was also a very experienced driver. In the Mara we saw a lot of cars got stuck in the mudd because of the rain the day before. The camps the holiday dealers recommended us were great. The food was very delicious, the staff was very polite and the rooms were nice. We spotted a lot of different animals and of course the big five. Thanks to the Team of The holiday dealers - the whole trip was a unforgettable journey for our whole family.

It is now over a decade since i started using The Holiday Dealers to plan my tours and travels. Not a single day have they disaspointed me. They have remained consistent and professional in their service delivery. Over the years, they have personaized my trips, to suit my needs and expectations of a perfect vacation. From sourcing for family based hotels like Voyager and Baobab resorts to romantic getaways like Finch Hattons Mahali Mzuri and Bluff lodges etc, the Holiday Dealers have no doubt mastered their craft. They will take you from the bush to the beach without breaking a sweat. Last festive season, Holiday Dealers successfuly planned my trip to Nothern and Central parts of Kenya. We were assigned a highly qualified, professional and well informed tour guide and driver who gave us limitless guided game drives of the breathtaking landscapes of Samburu. In particular we visited the Buffalo Springs National Reserve and Shaba Game Reserve. While there watch out for the Duom palm, grevy’s Zebra and the Orynx. We wound up our trip at the luxurious Fairmont Mt. Kenya Safari club. In the morning, we would wake up to perfect views of amazing sunrise from the top of Mt. Kenya. The location of the club is just perfect. We were also lucky to see the endangered mountain bongo, some Llamas and other animals at the animal orphanage. Trust Holiday Dealers to fulfill your Holiday Dreams.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Fairmont Mara Safari Club inside the Main Reserve?

No. Fairmont is in Olchoro Oirowua Conservancy near Aitong. Most included game drives take place in the conservancy.

Is our Fairmont package all-inclusive?

Yes. The Fairmont stay includes accommodation, all meals, drinks and shared hotel-led game drives. Your quotation specifies the package details and separately identifies transport, fees and extras.

Are the included game drives private?

No. They are shared hotel-led outings. We can arrange a separate private Main Reserve safari with our local Maasai guides.

Why would we add a local guide?

A private excursion suits travellers wanting more extensive exploration, longer outings or greater flexibility over the agreed programme.

Are Main Reserve fees covered by conservancy fees?

No. They cover different areas. We specify the applicable charges in your quotation.

Does Fairmont have a swimming pool?

Yes. The camp has an outdoor swimming pool.

Can we see migration crossings from camp?

How many nights do you recommend?

Three nights is our starting recommendation. Consider longer if you want private excursions alongside time enjoying camp.

Is Fairmont Mara Safari Club in Nanyuki?

No. Fairmont Mara is near Aitong. Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club is the separate Nanyuki property.

How do we receive a price?

Send your dates, number of adults, children’s ages and preferred road or flying option. Tell us whether to include a private Main Reserve excursion.
